Lighthouse and Whale Tail

Lighthouse in San Juan islands. Painted in the outline style as a first attempt for a commission. Ultimately the client chose a second version with no black outlines, but I still love the original best. This is called Lime Kiln Lighthouse. The clients had seen whales later that day, and requested the addition of the whale tale. I loved that addition.

Everybody has a photo in their albums that deserves to become a painting. Send me one and I will work up a digital mockup before I start, so you can see exactly where it is headed. If it is not right, I will adjust it. If you are not happy with the finished painting, you owe me nothing. That is the whole deal.
