Arizona Mountains was painted from a screen capture off a video about camping in Arizona. I embraced the opportunity to paint the secondary-colors, and make a painting with variations on orange, violet, and green.

Landscape
I do not always paint what was in front of me. I will photograph a dirt road in one place and a creek somewhere else, then merge them into one landscape that never existed. Sometimes I add something that belongs there anyway, like the red hawk at Valley of the Gods, or the elk I snuck into a commission as a surprise for a client.
